Zoofari is the Taronga Foundation's annual major fundraising Ball. The 2008 event will be held in the heart of Taronga Zoo, on the site of the new Elephant Breeding Facility and the first and last opportunity to hold an event at this venue before Gung our male elephant moves into his new home. Guests will enter through the heritage Elephant Temple and into a clear roofed marquee with views of Sydney Harbour, with a capacity to fit approximately 350-400 guests. Pre-dinner cocktails will be held in the new Seal Discovery Theatre and special animal encounters are followed by a 3 course gourmet dinner. The event is a fun and exciting evening with entertainment by Guy Sebastian and a live auction with Sotheby's auctioneer Justin Miller, offering unique ‘money can't buy' items such as Dinner in the Lions Den, An African Safari and Walk with the Elephants at Western Plains Zoo. Lucky envelopes and a silent auction also feature. A table of 10 is $5,000 and a VIP table is $10,000. The 2007 event sold out and tables for the 2008 event have already been booked.
For limited dates in November and December we are also offering this unique marquee as a venue for hire. Please click on the link below to see more about this space.
