Streets sponsors Great Southern Oceans
Streets is building on its long-term association with Taronga and Western Plains Zoos through a new Principal level partnership agreement which is revitalising its presence at both locations.
The 3-year agreement covers sponsorship and supply rights and gives the Unilever brand naming rights of the children’s beach-side play area in Taronga’s new Great Southern Oceans marine precinct, due to open to the public in December.
Streets products will be sold from the colourful beach huts adjacent to the play area and from new vending carts during the twice daily Seal Shows at the 950-seat seal theatre. Streets State Customer Manager, Martha Williams, said that the new Great Southern Oceans mega-exhibit was a perfect fit for the Streets brand and target audience.
“Great Southern Oceans will offer Zoo visitors a unique insight into the world of marine mammals and we are delighted to be able to help the Zoo achieve its education, conservation and research goals.”
“Our brand fits well with the summer, sea-side feel of Great Southern Oceans and we are confident we will add to the experience for Zoo visitors.”
Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo is receiving its share of attention thanks to the revitalised partnership. The Midway Kiosk has been rebranded “Streets Milk Bar” and the “Grazery” cafe also has a fresh new look (see pictures below).
In addition to improved branding at outlets and directional signage, Martha Williams said the Zoos and Streets would work together offer fun in-ground promotions to boost sales and enhance visitor experience.
“As well as being great fun, our promotions across both sites will draw attention to the wildlife conservation endeavours of these two great Zoos,” she said. The revitalised partnership will bring improvements to in-ground vending with mobile vending trials in high traffic areas such as the new Seal Show.
Streets will also offer its gourmet range at high profile Zoo events such as the Sun-Herald Twilight at Taronga Concert Series and New Year’s Eve.
