The Media Relations Department for Taronga and Western Plains Zoos writes and distributes stories to newspapers, television and radio that tell all about the fascinating events that happen at the Zoos from exciting new animal arrivals and births to holiday events and heart-rending survival stories of animals brought to Taronga's Wildlife Clinics.
As soon as events take place, the Media Relations Department writes a news release about the story and sends it to reporters, arranging pictures and video coverage that is then published and broadcast in news bulletins for everyone in the community to read.
