"The program was just fantastic and holding a blue-tongue lizard one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Everything about Fearless at Taronga was excellent and could not have been bettered. The information about reptiles was very good, providing us with a cognitive foundation on which to build a better emotional experience. At the beginning of the program I had thought I would feel successful, if I could just touch a blue-tongue with the back of one finger. The thought of what I ended up doing would have been inconceivable."

"The very supportive attitude of the staff created an atmosphere of trust that enabled me to go through the practical exercises. Being part of a group of people dealing with the same issue was also very beneficial.

I now feel comfortable in situations where I previously wouldn't be. I am no longer scared of doing all kinds of everyday tasks such as going into the laundry room, walking under trees, sitting down at the table without checking underneath etc. I just feel more confident, a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I also now see spiders in a different way, as a normal and natural part of my environment."

"I feel free! A phobia affects your life in a much broader way than you can ever imagine whilst you still have it. I had allowed the fear to permeate areas of my life that weren't obvious to me before doing this course. Knowing that I could overcome this and do something I never thought even remotely possible (ie. hold a snake) has given me courage and confidence in other areas of my life too. Inspiring my daughter has been an added bonus. She has seen me terrified of something that I can now face calmly and with confidence and I am so proud to have shown her that. "Fearless at Taronga" was an amazing experience. I felt totally supported by the staff from the minute I walked into the room. They were so kind and so passionate about what they do that it was impossible not to feel inspired by them."
