The kookaburra’s call or laugh is used to let other birds know of its territory.
The Education Centre is a specially created precinct for school and tertiary groups. As it is not accessed by the public, it is also the ideal location for Gold tours and VIP visits.
The Centre houses a range of conditioned Australian and exotic species which are used in education sessions and tours. These include amphibians, reptiles, birds, marsupials and echidnas.
Duties as a volunteer at the Education Centre would include:
8am - Collect animals and load up Zoomobile with Education Officer.

9am - Animal husbandry
10am - Teaching assistant (help collect and display animals)
1pm - Lunch
2pm - Animal conditioning
